Hydropower Virtual Teacher Training & Kit

We welcome all secondary science and CTE teachers to join us for an engaging virtual training that brings renewable energy to life in your classroom! This 90-minute training qualifies for professional learning credits for teachers in Washington and Oregon.

Developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), REDi Island is an interactive, virtual world where rivers, tides, and waves power communities, protect our environment, and provide clean water. Through FWEE’s hands-on training, secondary teachers will explore REDi Island’s Hydro Hollow, River Ramble, and Hydro Heights – each designed to immerse students in the science and engineering of hydropower.
