Hydro Appreciation Starts at HydroVision
The Foundation for Water and Energy Education (FWEE) is proud to be the Official Education Partner of HydroVision International 2018. Over 3,000 hydro professionals will be gathering at HydroVision in Charlotte, North Carolina on June 26-28.
Register now to choose between 60 conference sessions featuring more than 350 speakers and visit with more than 320 hydro-related product and service providers in the exhibit hall.
“PennWell does an exceptional job of organizing the conference,” said FWEE Executive Director Andy Dunau. “Part of that is partnering with FWEE to support public education and outreach.”
In addition to the Waterpower® Hydro Basics Course being taught at HydroVision, PennWell supports the FWEE Hydropower and STEM Career Academy. Being held June 22nd – 28th at Rocky Reach Dam, the Academy will include over 20 high school students exploring career opportunities as they learn about hydropower generation and environmental stewardship.
On July 22nd, PenWell will be joining other sponsors for the first Hydro Appreciation Day at Safeco Field when the Seattle Mariners play the Chicago White Sox. A host of activities supporting this event will be announced the week of June 4th.
“Getting the most from hydropower” said Dunau, “is the key goal behind HydroVision and our commitment to public and educational outreach.”
