Governor Inslee proclaims July 21st Hydropower Appreciation Day

Washington State Governor Jay Inslee has proclaimed July 21, 2019 as Hydropower Appreciation Day. This is in recognition of hydropower being a carbon-free, renewable energy resource offering reliable, affordable, and clean energy that supports Washington State’s economic development and rewarding career pathways. To celebrate on the 21st, hydropower generators, service providers and hydro fans of all ages will be joining forces as the Seattle Sounders host the Portland Timbers at CenturyLink Field. Fans in sections 306 and 307 will cheer on the force of falling water while they root for their favorite Northwest soccer team.
