Wenatchee Academy FAQs

The application MUST be fully completed and signed as indicated, and must be postmarked no later than May 26, 2025. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. Acceptance will be on a rolling basis until all spots are filled.
- Are entering 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade
- Are 14-18 years of age
- Have a GPA of 2.5 or above for the most recent academic year
- High school and college credit is available pending final approval
- Any credit issued is dependent on 100% attendance without tardiness, and successful completion of all assignments
- Grading will be pass/fail
Once you are accepted, the registration fee is $175 and must be received by June 13, 2025 unless a scholarship is requested.
There are a limited number of scholarships available. To apply, complete the scholarship page in the application.
Lunch and snacks are provided, and the cost is included in the registration fee.
- You must follow all instructions when touring the dam
- You must stay with the group you are assigned to at all times
- You will be provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as appropriate
Students must provide or secure their own transportation to and from Rocky Reach Dam.
If you live 50 miles or further from Rocky Reach Dam, you may request to stay with a Host Family. To request this, complete the Host Family page in the application.
- A limited number of Host Families are available
- Read the Host Family Release Form included in the application packet
- If you are requesting a Host Family, read, complete with signatures and submit with the application
- Host families will provide transportation for their students to and from Rocky Reach Dam each day of the academy
Applications will be reviewed as they are received. Acceptance will be on a rolling basis until all spots are filled. All final acceptances will be emailed by June 2, 2025.
