Tri-Cities Academy FAQs
June 23-26, 2025 at UA Local 598 Plumbers and Steamfitters Training Center in Pasco, WA.
Submit an online application at fwee.org/tricitiesacademy through May 1, 2025. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. Acceptance will be on a rolling basis until all spots are filled. Class size is limited to 25 students.
- Are entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade for the 2024-25 school year
- Are 15 -18 years of age
- College credit is available pending final approval
- Any credit issued is dependent on 100% attendance without tardiness, and successful completion of all assignments
- Grading will be pass/fail
If accepted, the registration fee is $125 and must be received by June 6, 2025 unless a scholarship is requested.
There are a limited number of scholarships available. To apply, complete the scholarship request section in the application.
Lunch and snacks are provided, and the cost is included in the registration fee.
- Yes. You must follow all instructions when touring the dam and other power plants.
- You must stay with the group you are assigned to at all times.
- You will be provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like hard hats or safety glasses as appropriate.
Students must provide or secure their own transportation to and from the UA Local 598 Plumbers and Steamfitters Training Center in Pasco, WA.
Transportation to and from field trips will be provided by the Academy.
