Southwest WA Academy FAQs
June 23-27, 2025 at Centralia College, Walton Science Center, 600 Centralia College Blvd, Centralia, WA.
Submit an online application through June 1, 2025. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. Acceptance will be on a rolling basis until all spots are filled. Class size is limited to 24 students.
- Are entering 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th grade for the 2024-25 school year
- Are 13 -18 years of age
If accepted, the registration fee is $50 and must be received by June 13, 2025 unless a scholarship is requested.
There are scholarships available. To apply, complete the scholarship request section in the application.
Lunch and snacks are provided, and the cost is included in the registration fee.
- Yes. You must follow all instructions when touring the dam and other power plants.
- You must stay with the group you are assigned to at all times.
- You will be provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like hard hats or safety glasses as appropriate.
Students must provide or secure their own transportation to and from Centralia College.
Transportation to and from field trips will be provided by the Academy.
