Hydropower Appreciation Campaign Launched
The Foundation for Water and Energy Education (FWEE) launched a hydropower appreciation social and digital media campaign. Check out these 15 and 30 second video spots that will be playing on Facebook, Instagram, websites, web apps and streaming services this month.
“These past few weeks, international events have provided a painful reminder about why energy independence is so important,” said FWEE Board President and Okanogan PUD Public Relations Coordinator Sheila Corson. “Add in goals to address climate change with carbon-free, clean, and renewable power generation, and the takeaway is that hydropower is more important than ever to the Northwest.”
Hydropower generates over half of the Northwest’s power generation, and over 80% of the Northwest’s renewable power generation. “Every other region of the country envies the Northwest’s base load of carbon-free, renewable power,” said Corson.
